Winner of the European 10,000m Cup, Richard Ringer, will compete at Soundtrack

Our long-distance runner Richard Ringer won the European 10,000m Cup in London on Saturday evening. Ringer, who is also the bronze medalist at the 5000m European Championships 2016, set his personal record with 27:36,52 minutes and made it to the number one in the European ranking list. No other German athlete in the last 20 years has made it this fast. Back then, Dieter Bauman ran the 5000m in 27:21,53 minutes.

At Soundtrack, Richard Ringer will tackle the 5000m. He will run up against international competition from Great Britain, Ethiopia, Kenia and Morocco. For Germany, our other top-athletes Marcel Fehr and Florian Orth will take part in the run. They will target their qualification for the European Championships. The race will start at 9pm. More 5000m runs for everyone will follow afterwards.
